#MBTselfie Fundraising Campaign feat. Jeremy Cohen

Posted on June 4, 2014

Welcome to our end-of-season fundraising campaign, which we’ve titled #MBTselfie in acknowledgement of the fact that we’re about to do some bragging.

Our World-Class Theatrical Programming and our Radical Hospitality ($0 admission for all) Program are made possible through the generosity of supporters like you, and we’re asking anyone and everyone invested in the continuing success of Mixed Blood Theatre to please take a moment to make a donation in any amount at www.mixedblood.com/support or by calling 612-338-0984. We have a goal of $20,000 by the end of our fiscal year on June 30, and only you can help us get there.

In support of this fund-raising goal, a few of our artists from this past season have recorded “Mixed Blood selfies”. We didn’t know exactly what to expect when we asked them for help, but as usual, they made us laugh, cry, wonder what they were thinking, and reminded us of how fortunate we are to be part of such an amazing community. We’re sharing these awesome videos on this blog, and today’s installment comes from the ever eloquent Jeremy Cohen, Producing Artistic Director of The Playwrights’ Center in Minneapolis, and Director of last Fall’s “Brahman/i, a one-hijra stand-up comedy show” in the DISPLACED HINDU GODS Trilogy. Please take a moment to watch: https://vimeo.com/97328977

If you support us with a financial donation, thank you!

If you support us by sharing this message with your friends via social media or other means, thank you!

And if you support us by taking advantage of Radical Hospitality and being a part of the most amazing audiences any artists could ask for, thank you!

Thank you for believing in Mixed Blood, in bold theatrical programming accessible to all, in the possibilities at the intersection of great art and social change.
